Like so many other loyal fans, I have been a Megadeth fan (actually more a Dave Mustaine fan) for several years.
I decided to just put something together for my own enjoyment, as a hobby and a tribute to someone I admire for the hurdles
he has overcome as well as the music he continues to produce.

Dave's a very witty, gritty and yet sensitive to social and spiritual matters and that's what makes him
a great song writer. Some of his best songs have been about things we only wish we had the courage to say out loud.
Dave has been married several years and has two children. That has changed his perspective on how he lives
his life and seems to actually want to live it now that he realizes he has something to live for. From watching one
of the documentaries on Megadeth and Dave's battles with his own demons, he mentors others who battle the same ones. He also
mentioned being mentored by Vince Furnier, otherwise known as Alice Cooper, of whom I am also a fan. I would love
to meet them both, we could have some great discussions...
Acts and performances aside, entertainers are real people with real lives, real problems...music
is the way Dave Mustaine talks it out, hashes it out and deals with it. He doesn't set out to be a hero and thankfully
he hasn't turned himself into a poster child for "clean living." He just continues on and his lyrics tell the story.
If you follow each album, one can clearly see that spiritual matters are of a concern and interest to him, as well as social
problems. He is one of the great protestors of our time, but doing with a slight bit of wry humor.
He is a man of faith, I can see that, but again, thankfully he hasn't shown up on TBN. Faith is a private
thing to be lived not preached (the poster child thing) but that's just my opinion.
